The Las Vegas community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Eva Riley, a talented young athlete and cherished friend, who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 19.
Eva, a proud member of Tstreet Volleyball Club’s LV 17-Kenny team, played as Libero (#9), where she was admired for her quick reflexes, dedication, and bright spirit both on and off the court. Standing 5’3” with an impressive 7 ft 8 in approach jump, Eva embodied determination, teamwork, and passion for the game she loved deeply.
A student at Green Valley Christian School, Eva was known not only for her athletic excellence but also for her kindness, humility, and unwavering positivity. Her teammates and coaches at Tstreet Volleyball Club in Irvine, California, remember her as the heart of their team — always encouraging others, lifting spirits, and playing with unmatched energy.
Her aunt, Jme Medina, shared an emotional tribute on social media, writing, “Today was the hardest day. My sweet, beautiful niece Eva Riley has passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 19 last night. This is my brother Adam’s only child. Our family is devastated beyond words and grieving deeply. It’s hard to breathe. We miss her so much already.”
Eva’s passing has left a deep void in the lives of all who knew her. Friends, classmates, and teammates have flooded social media with heartfelt tributes, recalling her contagious smile and the way she made everyone feel valued.
Close friend Hannah Shahoian expressed her grief, writing, “My angel baby. You are the reason I continued and pushed through. Meeting you was a blessing and I can’t wait to meet again. I’m heartbroken, but I love you and you’ll be in my heart always and forever. I miss you so much.”
Eva’s strong faith was a guiding light in her life. Her family shared a comforting Bible verse from 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14:
“For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with Him those having fallen asleep.”
Her family, friends, and the entire Tstreet Volleyball community are united in their grief as they remember Eva’s beautiful soul, athletic talent, and the joy she brought to everyone around her.
